10 per cent reservation for OBC 27% and weak income group in medical colleges: PM

The government’s historic decision in medical education received 27% and 10% reservations to EWS.

The Government of India has taken a historic decision about medical education and those students who desire to make their career in the medical field.

Tweeting the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “All India quota (AIQ) for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical / Dental Course (MBBS / MD / MS / Diploma / BDS / MDS) from the current academic year 2021-22 There has been a historic decision to provide 10% reservation for 27% reservation and financially weak (EWS) class for OBC.

Tell, July 26, 2021, was a meeting about this issue. In which Prime Minister Modi had instructed the Central Ministries to resolve this issue in the discussion.

After which, this decision was taken for OBC and EWS class candidates. This decision will benefit about 1000 EWS students in approximately 550 EWS students and postgraduation in around 1500 obc students and MBBs in MBBs every year. After this decision, approximately 5,550 students will benefit.

This decision will help provide a better chance to thousands of youth of the country every year and establish a paradigm in social justice in our country.

In a statement issued by the Union Health Ministry, it was said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had instructed the central ministries related to the practical solution of this issue for a long time, pending in a meeting on Monday. On behalf of medical candidates, there was a long-demanding demand for OBC reservation in all India quota of medical education.
